The Ground floor and Podium deck to this new build hotel required waterproofing and insulating. Proteus Cold Melt®, a cold applied reinforced liquid waterproofing membrane was used to waterproof the new concrete decks. The benefit of this system was its low odour, no flame/cold application.
Once installed Proteus XPS Plus insulation was loose laid to meet the required U-Value for the roof areas. These areas were then protected with pedestals and porcelain tiles.
Once signed off by Proteus Technical Services, a guarantee was provided for the roof system.Cold Melt, which was chosen for this project, is BBA certified, and once installed may last the lifetime of the structure.
