Track Office – Acton Museum Depot

The Track Office, an administration building for Piccadilly Tube Line located in the heart of Acton Museum Depot, required a new waterproofing membrane following reports of numerous leaks causing disruption to office staff and discoloration to ceiling tiles. As scaffolding was already assembled due to ongoing repair works, it was decided that the roof repairs would be completed at the same time.

Product brief:

Proteus Waterproofing were asked to supply a high performance, cold applied membrane to minimise disruption to office staff, therefore Proteus Pro-System® Plus was specified to meet the client’s needs.

Key Requirements: High Performance Waterproofing

The metal profile sheets on the roof were firstly primed with Pro-Epoxy Primer, then fully encapsulated with Proteus Pro-System® Plus. All rooflight panels were encapsulated with Pro-Glaze PU to allow more light to enter the office, creating a brighter working environment for all staff. Proteus Waterproofing worked closely with the Proteus Approved Contractor, Bryen & Langley Ltd. to ensure the project was completed to a high standard.

Key Requirements: Health & Safety

As the office was in constant use while the repairs were being completed, a low noise and low odour system was crucial. Proteus Pro-System® Plus is cold installed, low odour and low noise meaning all health and safety criteria could be met whilst keeping disruptions to employees and other trades to a minimum.

Key Requirements: Long Term Performance

Proteus Pro-System® Plus offers a low maintenance, durable waterproofing and protection solution for a range of new build and refurbishment applications. It is cold applied, eliminating the risk of fire and once cured, provides a completely seamless waterproof protection even on complex detailing and has excellent UV stability.
