Proteus Waterproofing® carried out a detailed survey of the existing roof, which was experiencing water ingress in several areas. The asphalt roof, previously repaired with reinforced liquid membranes, required a full system upgrade.
Key Challenges & Solutions
Due to low upstands and existing cladding finishes, a thermal upgrade was not feasible. Consequently, a Proteus Pro-Cold® fully reinforced liquid membrane was installed as an overlay to the existing roof surface. Detailing: The roof featured multiple pipes, upstands, and ductwork requiring precise termination to prevent water ingress. Metal cladding was removed from upstands, and all cowling and ductwork were carefully prepared to ensure full encapsulation with the Proteus ProCold® waterproofing membrane.
Conclusion
Thanks to our strong collaboration with the Proteus Approved Contractor and consistent site management, the project progressed efficiently and was successfully completed and signed off by our technicians. It is now protected under the Proteus Guarantee, ensuring long-term reliability for hospital patients and staff.
