St Catherines Court, a residential block, required a new waterproofing solution that would bring the building up to current Part B (fire safety) and Part L (energy efficiency) regulations while staying within budget. Survey & Technical Assessment
The project needed a cost-effective, regulation-compliant solution that could enhance the building’s thermal performance and provide reliable waterproofing. The system also had to accommodate existing roof conditions, including upstands and roof protrusions, while adhering to safe installation practices and completing the works swiftly.
Solution
Proteus conducted a thorough survey of the existing roof to assess its condition and construction. Based on this assessment, additional insulation was overlaid, and the roof was waterproofed using the Proteus Ultima AIRdhesive single-layer membrane. The versatility of this membrane allowed for rapid installation, even around complex details such as upstands and protrusions, following the Safe to Torch guidelines.
