+44 (0)1268 777871St Catherines Court, a residential block, required a new waterproofing solution that would bring the building up to current Part B (fire safety) and Part L (energy efficiency) regulations while staying within budget. The project demanded a durable, efficient system that could be installed with minimal disruption to residents.
Survey & Technical Assessment
The project needed a cost-effective, regulation-compliant solution that could enhance the building’s thermal performance and provide reliable waterproofing. The system also had to accommodate existing roof conditions, including upstands and roof protrusions, while adhering to safe installation practices and completing the works swiftly.
Solution
Proteus conducted a thorough survey of the existing roof to assess its condition and construction. Based on this assessment, additional insulation was overlaid, and the roof was waterproofed using the Proteus Ultima AIRdhesive single-layer membrane. The versatility of this membrane allowed for rapid installation, even around complex details such as upstands and protrusions, following the Safe to Torch guidelines.
Outcome
The project successfully upgraded the roof to meet current Part B and Part L regulations, delivering enhanced waterproofing and thermal performance. Residents now benefit from a safe, warm, and dry environment, backed by a full Proteus guarantee that ensures long-term protection and peace of mind.
