It was originally built with a timber deck, Bitumen Vapour Control, PIR flat board insulation and waterproofed with a two layer felt system that had reached the end of its serviceable life.

Proteus Waterproofing® were asked to provide a 25 year waterproofing system to the problem roof. The age of the building meant there were some very difficult details to overcome to ensure this roof meets with all the current regulations.

Solution

Proteus removed the existing wet build up down to the original deck. We then installed the Proteus Pro-Felt Endura® waterproofing felt system including new insulation to meet regulatory insulation requirements. Pro-Felt Endura® supported by a British Board of Agrément Certificate, stating a minimum service life of 30 years allowed Proteus Waterproofing® to provide a 25 year guarantee to support the finished system.
