Product brief:

The ageing asphalt covering on the main flat roof, which had previously been overlaid with a bituminous felt membrane, had passed it’s serviceable life. The brief required a new, low maintenance overlay while keeping the historic character of the building, therefore, Proteus Waterproofing specified Proteus Pro-System®.

Key Requirements: High performance Waterproofing

To avoid the risk of fire, a cold installation was essential. Being a fully reinforced, cold liquid membrane, Proteus Pro-System® could easily be installed onto the existing, prepared roof coverings. Its low noise application and ability to be a phased installation made it the perfect solution for keeping disruptions to an absolute minimum. Proteus Waterproofing worked closely with the Approved Contractor to ensure the project was successfully delivered to a very high standard, providing the client with a long-lasting solution.

Key Requirements: Health & Safety

Avoiding the risk of fire and protecting the natural qualities of the building was of utmost importance. As Proteus Pro-System® is cold installed, it complies to NFRC Safe2Torch and meets all health and safety criteria.

Key Requirements: Long Term Performance

Proteus Pro-System® offers a low maintenance, durable waterproofing and protection solution for a range of new build and refurbishment applications. It is cold applied, eliminating the risk of fire and once cured, provides a completely seamless waterproof protection and has excellent UV stability, making it suitable to use in all climates. Proteus Pro-System® forms a seamless, fully adhered membrane, manufactured in the UK and is BBA Certified.
