Located on Old Street, London, Classic House houses open-plan office spaces for businesses. Proteus Waterproofing® was asked to provide an upgraded waterproofing system due to previous repairs no longer providing suitable protection. The existing surface was suitable for receiving an overlay of our Pro-BW® Plus liquid waterproofing system.
Key Challenges & Solutions
Repairs were required to some areas of the existing asphalt substrate prior to the new waterproofing coating being installed due to damage caused by the feet of the decking system.The project consisted of some pitched mansard roofs which were difficult to coat. Proteus Waterproofing® worked with the contractor to ensure these areas could be worked on safely via use of scaffolded access.
Conclusion
Proteus Waterproofing® provided guidance through regular site visits to ensure each challenge was completed safely and efficiently, using the correct installation processes and safety protocols.
