Project Overview
Located in Hampstead, London, this residential development required a cost
effective thermal and waterproofing system which would conform to local
building regulations and be sensitive to the buildings Grade II listed status.

Key Challenges & Solutions
• Complex Details: There were many flues which required sufficient sealing and finishing with the Proteus ProFelt® Ultima Plus membrane to ensure they were protected from water penetration. Sumps were formed in the gutters around the perimeter of the roof using the Proteus Pro-Therm ‘cut to fall’ scheme, allowing water to run into the outlets set within them.

Listed building consent:

Our Proteus design team produced a tapered scheme to meet thermal performance, which also fell within the roof height limitations posed by planning conditions.

Conclusion
Regular visits to site by our technical team and a good working relationship with the Proteus Approved Contractor ensured that the project progressed efficiently. Guidance was provided by Proteus throughout every stage of the project to ensure all areas of the specification were met. After completion, a guarantee for the works was provided.
