Located in the heart of Chelsea, Lucan Place is a new state-of-the-art boutique development. The project required an inverted roof system with green roof finishes to provide a natural aspect to blend in with the surrounding area.
Project Overview
Proteus Waterproofing® was asked to provide a system designed to deliver waterproofing protection and support thermal performance in line with specified targets. Site inspections were carried out by the Proteus technical team, who offered guidance to help ensure the work was completed efficiently and to a consistent standard.
Key Challenges & Solutions

Upstand heights: The pre-designed structure did not have a sufficient upstand height to accommodate an inverted roof system. Proteus instead designed a suitable warm roof system to reduce the depth needed which would still meet the necessary thermal targets.

Green roof installation: Consideration was given to providing the most suitable waterproofing system which would work with both the warm and green roof specifications for the project.

Multiple level installation: The specified system was laid over multiple terraced levels, therefore requiring careful planning to ensure each level was completed to the same standard.
